Rubber conveyor belt is the main component of the belt conveyor, which plays the role of carrying materials. It is mainly used in heavy industries such as metallurgy, building materials, electric power, mining, and seaport. Compared with other transportation methods, rubber conveyor belt as the transportation carrier has the advantages of more safety, convenient use, convenient maintenance, continuous use, low freight and shortened transportation distance.

Precautions for transportation and storage of rubber conveyor belts :

• During transportation and storage, conveyor belt should be kept clean, avoid direct sunlight, block rain and snow, and avoid contact with acid, alkali and oily items. At the same time, the organic solution will also affect the quality of the rubber, and the conveyor belt should be avoided to contact with it.
• Rubber conveyor belt should be one meter away from the heat source, the temperature of the storage warehouse should be kept between -15°C and +40°C, and the relative humidity should be kept between 50% and 80%.
• During storage, the conveyor belt must be placed in rolls and must not be folded. During the storage period, it should be turned over once a quarter.

Matters needing attention in the use of conveyor belts :

• The running speed of the conveyor belt should not be greater than 5.0 m/s. When transporting materials with large lumps and high abrasiveness, and using a fixed plow-type unloading device, it should run at a low speed as much as possible. When the specified speed is exceeded, the service life of the belt will be affected.
• In order to reduce the impact and wear of the material on the belt, the feeding direction should follow the running direction of the belt; the drop of the material falling on the belt should be minimized; the feeding port should avoid the top of the roller or idler; the belt receiving material distance between idlers should be shortened and buffer measures should be taken. In order to prevent the belt from being scratched, the contact part of the blocking device, the scraper cleaning device and the unloading device with the belt should be a rubber plate with a hardness one, and a belt head with a cloth layer should not be used.
• If the belt deviates, measures should be taken to correct it in time.
• If local damage to the belt is found, it should be repaired in time to avoid expansion.
